Isabel Rose Weiss Friedman

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Woods Hole, Massachusetts, Isabel Friedman has made her mark as a youth leader and powerful champion for girls and young women.
As a member of the class of 2008 at the Friends’ Central School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, Isabel served as student government president, field hockey and softball athlete, peer mentor and writing tutor, alumnae representative, and blood drive leader; and she has won honors for leadership and community service. Isabel was selected as an assistant teacher at The Children’s’ School of Science in Woods Hole, Massachusetts (summers 2006-2007), upon completion of its full 8-year curriculum. Isabel is currently doing a gap year to conduct Taking Care of Your “Girls” assemblies for girls in schools worldwide. She will join the University of Pennsylvania Class of 2013 in the fall of 2009.
Marisa Weiss, M.D.

Breastcancer.org Founder and President Marisa Weiss, M.D. frequently serves as a responsible voice on breast health and breast cancer to live and print media, including ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s TODAY, CNN breast cancer segments, Lifetime TV, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. Dr. Weiss speaks regularly at national conferences and is the recipient of awards from the American Cancer Society, Coping magazine, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She served two terms on the National Cancer Institute Director's Consumer Liaison Group, with a special interest in strengthening the sacred patient-doctor relationship.
